Mission statement:
Southwest Community Ministries is a faith-based organization that works daily to respond to the needs of our neighbors in crisis. Southwest Community Ministries offers the church, civic, and business communities of Southwest Louisville an opportunity to work together.
Southwest Community Ministries accomplishes its mission by providing vital ongoing services along with other short term (seasonal) programs created to meet the ever-changing needs of the Southwest Louisville area.
Southwest Community Ministries serves people
who live in the 40258, 40272, & 40177 (inside Jefferson Co.) zip codes. Any person living in our service delivery area in crisis is eligible for assistance.
Southwest Community Ministries is a
member of the Associations of Community Ministries, a collaborative group of Louisville’s 15 community ministries. In this setting, the community ministries work together to advocate, identify funding sources, negotiate with area utility companies, and seek community wide support for Louisville’s network of community ministries.
Southwest Community Ministries is also a member
of Pleasure Ridge Park Area Business Association (PRPABA), Valley Station Area Business Association (VSABA), and Southwest Rotary.
